Gene Expression Data Analysis Suite


In the interest of scientific and research community, this GEDAS software source code has been available free of charge.  Most of the source code is in Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 and some part in Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0.  GEDAS has been developed for Microsoft Windows XP platform.  The software also requires Seagate Crystal Report 8.5 or higher for generating output reports.  The GEDAS software does not work on Windows 2000 platform.

Important: GEDAS has been developed as a part of doctoral research programme, is purely academic/research oriented, meant solely for learning and experimentation purpose.  Either GEDAS or its authors cannot be challenged legally in any court of law of any land for it development, use or any possible outcome.  Though comparative study of behaviour of genes and determination of gene function can be done, the software should not be used for medical diagnosis, and if used, the authors or the software cannot be held responsible.  GEDAS is a freeware, however, it is mandatory for all users to suitably acknowledge in their works as follows:

For obtaining the source code please feel free to contact T. V. Prasad at [email protected]. The compressed source code in ZIP format is less than 1.5 MB in size. Please read the README.TXT file first for steps to be taken before compiling and executing the software. Kindly note that Crystal Reports should be installed first and then Visual Studio. In many instances it was observed that doing vice versa will cause non functioning of Crystal Reports
