Venkateshwara Prasad Tangirala after completing schooling in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, he moved back to Vijayawada to pursue bachelor degree in science (in computer science) from Nagarjuna University, Andhra Pradesh. He received master's degree in computer science also from Nagarjuna University.
He was teaching for over one and half year at post-graduate level before joining the Bureau of Indian Standards, New Delhi as Deputy Director/Scientist - C where he is presently working since last nine years.
He has submitted his thesis in bioinformatics to the Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi. The area of research is modeling gene expression using artificial neural networks, under the supervision of Prof. Syed I. Ahson, Ph. D.
His interest in computing continued since he was in schooling. His areas of interests include bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, data structures and efficient algorithms, computer organization and architecture.
